Monroe City, MO — Machinery is being moved out of Pace Industries in Monroe City as the plant prepares to close July 14.
Some equipment from the Monroe City facility is being moved to other plants in Arkansas and Wisconsin.
Pace announced in May that it was closing the 220,000-square-foot facility at 135 Front Street. Almost 190 workers will lose their jobs.
The Arkansas-based company produces aluminum die cast products for a variety of industries, and blames the closure on the national economic downturn.
Pace bought the plant in 1990, but the facility dates to 1951 and once was known as Kuhlman Diecasting.
Kinetic Die Casting manufactures die cast parts for their customers. If you would like to know more about what is die casting or if you would like a quote, please visit our website:Kinetic Die Casting Company
