The Sun reaches its most northern point in the sky at local noon. After today, the days start getting shorter. The word solstice is from the Latin solstitium, from sol (sun) and stitium (to stop), reflecting the fact that the Sun appears to stop at this time (and again at the winter solstice).

The facility employed approximately 295 people and manufactured component and aftermarket parts used to supply the company’s assembly facilities. “MTD is grateful for the hard work and dedication of these employees and the continued support of the Leitchfield community,” said Craig Dukes, senior vice president of Human Resources. “We recognize the significant impact this closure will have on employees and their families and will be providing separation support including severance benefits, outplacement services and preferential hiring opportunities at MTD’s other US facilities.”
MTD made this decision after careful and ongoing evaluation of its manufacturing footprint in relation to future strategic needs, according to Eric Creech, MTD’s Communications and Marketing Manager. The move will improve overall efficiency and better position MTD to deliver competitive products in a rapidly evolving outdoor power equipment industry.
MTD, located at 2555 Brandenburg Road, remains committed to U.S. manufacturing and has increased employment at its other U.S. manufacturing facilities over the last several years, the company said. The move also allows the company to focus on better leveraging advanced manufacturing capabilities in its other U.S. facilities.

Castings Aluminum Company will take your aluminum product and produce Castings Aluminum Parts using the least-expensive aluminum manufacturing process. Castings Aluminum Company uses the Aluminum Die Casting process. This manufacturing process is the process which molten aluminum metal is forced under considerable pressure using a die casting machine into a steel mold or die to form Part Castings in Aluminum. Smaller aluminum casting parts can be produced in quantities up to 5,000 aluminum castings or aluminum parts each day.
Larger aluminum die casting parts are produced from 250 to 1,000 each day depending on design, complexity and die casting part weight. Many industries, including Golf products, are made from aluminum die castings as well as auto parts.

Cast Parts 2020
Cast-Parts is an American die casting company located in California, USA. Cast-Parts produces aluminum diecast parts and zinc diecast parts using a process called “High Pressure Die Casting Process”. The high pressure die casting process is where a molten metal alloy is injected using high pressure into a die casting mold or diecasting die to make metal diecast parts.
This die casting process is enabled by the use of high pressure die casting machines. The Die Casting Machines that Cast-Parts uses are computer-aided production controled to produce and ship cast parts to our customers on time. We will usually ship quality products in four weeks from the time the order is placed. We can expedite some cast part shipments in less than two weeks.
Our cast parts die casting machines range up to 650 tons to make parts in aluminum die casting parts from .001 pounds to 5 pounds. Our zinc die casting parts range from less than an ounce to over a few pounds. We make many types of die cast parts from less than an ounce up to a ten pound shot.
