Stroh Die Casting Company Filed For Receivership

A die casting company that as Stroh Die Casting was a longtime fixture among Milwaukee-area manufacturers has filed for receivership in Juneau County.

The firm, which dates to 1903, sought protection from creditors in the bankruptcy-like proceeding earlier this month. It is expected the company will be sold as a going business, court-appointed receiver Michael Polsky said in a statement Friday.

The expected buyer has agreed to offer jobs to all of the company’s employees, the statement said. Polsky could not be reached for further comment.

Stoh Die Casting, once located on E. Michigan Ave. downtown, Wauwatosa WI. Stroh operated a factory at 11123 W. Burleigh St., Wauwatosa, for more than 50 years. The location is now the site of one of the new grocery and general merchandise stores being opened here by the Michigan-based Meijer chain.

In 2009, Stoh moved its Wauwatosa work to its plant in Mauston.

The company has gone through a series of name changes. As a Mauston-based firm, it has operated as Stroh Precision Die Casting LLC. It now is formally known, however, as PDC Acquisition LLC. That is the name of the entity that filed for receivership.

In early May, Park Bank was awarded a $5.1 million judgment against PDC Acquisition, online court records show. The judgment has not been satisfied, according to the records.

Update On Ten Thousand Aerospace Parts In 4 Weeks

Last Monday 7/20/15, I wrote a newsletter about our goal to ship the 10,000 aerospace die casting parts in four weeks.

Here is an excerpt and a photo:
Die Casting Aerospace Parts Kinetic Die Casting Company received a purchase order on July 13, 2015 from one of our Aerospace Part Manufacturing Company customers for ten thousand (10,000) aluminum die casting parts, delivery requested as ASAP (As Soon As Possible). These aerospace die casting parts have a special acme thread that needs to be completed, post processing. The parts are die trimmed, then the parts are vibra deburr finished, then we polish the parts and finally we put in the acme thread. We do a final inspection visually and with gauges, write the product certifications, pack and ship the parts…. Here is an update on that commitment: As of this week, we will have shipped 7,000 die casting parts of the 10,000 die casting parts on order. That delivery is two weeks earlier than projected. Kinetic Die Casting Company may even complete the purchase order this week. We take our requests for fast delivery serious. Our internal goal is to make and ship die casting parts in four weeks or sooner.

We would like to do the same for your company, give us a call. We accept purchase orders for 10 die casting parts, 10,000 die casting parts or up to 200,000 die casting parts in a year. We make parts in aluminum weighing from .01 pounds to about 10 pounds.

Your Personal Air Cooler–Aluminum Heat Sinks!

aluminum die cast heat sink

Your Personal Air Cooler–Aluminum Heat Sinks. A lot of manufacturers love purchasing aluminum heatsinks due to their efficient approach towards heat dissipation. If there is one thing that these products are known for, it should be that. In instances when there is a need for heat to be dispelled from one area to another, any manufacturer would immediately think of buying an aluminum heatsink. Not only does it provide hydraulic qualities in cooling different areas of a particular engine or machine, it also allows devices to be extra protected from exposure to very high temperature. As with all other electronic applications, aluminum heatsinks are primarily used in that respect.

Also made from brilliant method of aluminum die casting, most heatsinks have a net shape allowing them to take a variety of forms and dimensions in order to cater to all types of machines and functions. To date, these types of heatsinks are being produced at an alarming rate due to the high demand of automobile manufacturers and other industries that require heavy machinery. Thousands of aluminum heat sinks are being produced and shipped out to different parts of the globe in a daily basis. An advantage of using heatsinks made of aluminum, aside from its durable and lightweight feature, is that it does not need complex polishing once the output is made. Heatsinks are also very versatile that it can also be used inside computers to help dissipate heat caused by complex circuitry both inside and out. Since electricity ignites during electronic interaction, an aluminum heatsink helps depreciate this temperature.

Aluminum Heat Sink Info

Aluminum Die Cast Heat Sink

Basically, heat sinks are used to reduce the amount of heat in electrical appliances. Heat sinks have been used to prevent overheating and breakdown of the concerned appliance since long, but aluminum heat sinks are a new advancement. Aluminum is being used to make these sinks because of its high durability and thermal conductivity. Here is a bite on how a heat sink works and how does aluminum die casting parts enhance the performance of the product.

WORKING AND AN EXTRA PUSH BY ALUMINUM
Furthermore, it is obvious that every electrical appliance has wires for the conduction of the current. But what most people do not know that the flowing of electric current through the wires also produces some amount of heat in the wires. How much of this heat is produced depends on what material is the wire made up of. Every metal or alloy has its characteristic resistance to the electric current flowing through it. More the resistance more will be the number collision of molecules and therefore more heat shall be produced. Heat is bad for the normal functioning of the appliance. So it is ideally required that the material being used low in electrical resistance or high in thermal conductivity.

Also, production of the heat is inevitable, and that’s why there is need for heat sinks. Now, aluminum is a highly conductive material to heat and electricity both, just what is needed for a perfect heat sink apparatus. As soon as the heat is produced in the appliance machinery, these aluminum heat sinks conduct them out of the whole set up and therefore prevent overheating.

Aluminum is the best material to be used to conduct heat out of the electrical circuit and that too efficiently and without incurring much damage to itself; a valuable investment to say the least.
