Die Casting Zinc Military Parts
The Importance of Die Casting Zinc Military Parts. Die casting zinc military parts include the use of dies or molds in modelling metal into a chosen shape. It is a practical method of manufacturing crucial mechanisms for military uses. There are numerous ways to manufacture metal pieces, but this technique has extra advantages:

Because of these benefits, die casting zinc military parts has become an extensively applied handling method to come across the enormous burdens of military requirements. The generated metallic parts are used for:

Die casting zinc military parts are vital in providing the military with the tools that they can be contingent upon. Therefore, it is significant to select a die caster that offers high-quality work. The concerns of getting sub-standard items are too treacherous – without quality control, weapons could breakdown in the middle of a fight, transportation may break down and leave military workers trapped, or devices may become unbalanced and result to calamities. When you are looking for a company for die casting zinc military parts, make sure that the business has a stellar character for fabricating high-grade merchandise.

Zinc Die Casting and Its Potential for Use in Flight
Zinc Die Casting and Its Potential for Use in Flight. Airplanes are an activity enjoyed by many the world over the world enjoys challenging gravity and sending humans (and non-humans) to the sky by sending them on airplanes, space ships, and hot air balloons.
Although it is exhilarating, defying gravity is hard. In order to take flight, aircrafts ready for take-off must be tailored akin to that of a bird’s structure. A bird’s wings are constructed of hollow bones. In the realm of humans, this equates to the use of light but robust material to build the frame of the airplane, airship, or space craft. One procedure of ensuring high quality materials is zinc die casting. Aerospace parts need comparatively lightweight and sturdy materials which can endure strong pressure and impact.
As a non-ferrous metal, Zinc alloy can be liquefied and shaped to a material that can be characterized as such. It is also a low-cost raw material. Owing to the classy nature of the aeronautics industry, the use of zinc as a chief component in the production of objects intended for flight might be a perfect concept.
Moreover, materials made of zinc are decent conductors of electricity and heat. Since flight exposes objects to high stress and pressure, materials made of inferior elements may flop easily. But it has been established that zinc is impervious to fatigue. If combined with another element to produce an alloy, the end product is proved to be sturdier than aluminum and magnesium.
With zinc die casting, zinc aerospace parts are certain to be cheap but without surrendering the features vital of their function.

Aluminum Aircraft Parts Die Castings
Aircraft or better known as Airplanes are large, very large. They are large because they are designed to carry things, lots of things. Airplanes carry mail, gifts, shipments, food, packages, baggage, and people. Airplanes are the fastest transportation for “things” and people today. Airplanes are fast because they travel through the air. Because airplanes are big and travel through the air, the airplane construction materials need to lightweight and strong. Aluminum is used for most of the airplane components because it is lightweight and strong. The overall airplane part weight is kept down so the airplane will be able to carry more “things”. Therefore, aluminum is used a lot.

Die casting is the preferred manufacturing process for making Aluminum Aircraft Parts. The reason is because the aluminum die casting process has a lot of advantages over other high volume aircraft part manufacturing processes.
-
Aluminum Aircraft Parts Produced as Die Castings:
- Die Casting is less expensive because more than 500 or 1,000 parts can be produced each day.
- Die Casting hold tolerance typically to +/- 0.002″ after the die casting tool is approved.
- Aluminum weighs 1/3 by volume of a similar part in steel.
- Aluminum die casting parts are very strong.
- Die Castings are produced near “net shape”, reducing additional manufacturing costs.
- Die Casting Tooling reliably manufacturers parts repeatably over several thousand parts.
- Aluminum die castings do not break down over time as other materials break down.
- Aluminum die castings have an aesthetically pleasing surface finish.
- Die Casting parts look good after paint or polish.
-
Kinetic Die Casting Company makes many types of aircraft parts. We make:
- Airplane distributor caps
- Aircraft wheel cove locks
- Cargo Plane bearing housing parts
- Airplane piston heads
- Many others….

Aluminum Aircraft Parts
The United States leads the world in manufacturing aircraft and associated systems. Military aircraft form the backbone for both national defense and projection of power. These air vehicles are essential to air superiority, strike, airlift, early warning, reconnaissance, command and control, ground attack and sea control. Fully one-third of the DOD annual budget($85 billion per year) supports aircraft expenses. Improvements in air vehicle cost and capability therefore offer significant leveraging potential for reducing defense expenditures.
Sweeping global changes in recent years have presented considerable challenges to the US aeronautics industry. Perhaps most significant is the end of the cold war, bringing dramatic cuts in defense spending including development of new aircraft and engines.

Kinetic Die Casting Company makes Superior Quality Aerospace Die Castings.
Our customer recently sent us a die casting tool to produce die casting parts. He recently experienced a reject from his customer and he needed our help.
Honeywell Aerospace (aerospace company) uses a quality inspection document, EMS 230, to accept or reject high pressure die casting parts. Our customer supplied die casting parts to Honeywell and these castings were rejected for “Cold Shots”.
Cold Shots are imperfections in the metal flow into die casting parts due to the metal freezing or solidifying prior to the metal filling the die casting cavity. It usually happens when the metal flow is limited or the metal is not the proper temperature or the die casting mold is not the proper temperature. As a great quality die casting company, we solve these issues every week. We control the metal temperature with thermocouples and we control the die temperature in our die casting process.
It can also happen if the die casting tooling or the die casting part is poorly designed. The die casting process needs metal to flow rapidly into the die casting tool to make solid die casting parts. Design of the tool or part can limit that fluid process.
This is what happened in this case:
* The die casting tooling gates into a section of the die casting part of about 0.030″ thick wall thickness. This is thinner than recommended for the metal to flow into the die casting. This restricts the metal flow.
* There are sections of the die casting that are over .200″ thick. Consistent wall thicknesses are critical for sound die castings.
* The prior die casting company added overflows and vents that worked against each other by filling the tool from two or three directions. These gates, vents and overflows created turbulence in the shot process which cause the metal to cool prematurely.
What did Kinetic Die Casting Company do for our new customer?
* We made some fast tooling changes to improve the metal flow in the die casting tool.
* We made great quality die casting parts for our new customer.
* We did this in less than three weeks for our happy customer.
