Aluminum Alloy in 2021
Aluminum die casting alloy is lightweight and possesses the stability to come up with thin walls and different shapes. This metal can resist corrosion and other mechanical properties. Moreover, it has excellent electrical and high thermal conductivity. Above all, aluminum die castings can withstand high pressure and temperature. That’s why aluminum is the most common metal used in die casting.
Die casting started in 1800. A patent was granted for the first machine for die casting printing in the year 1849. The die casting process was only limited to printer’s type but development of other shapes have been developed many years after. Aluminum die casting was introduced in 1914 and it gained popularity. Furthermore, die casting this kind of metal is still used today.
The Aluminum Die Casting Process of exerting high pressure to molten aluminum into molten cavities. These molds are called dies. They can be designed to come up with accurate and complex shapes. Parts can be defined to produce textured or smooth surfaces. Die cast products range from aircraft and automobile parts, toys, and even household utensils.
Die casting is an economical and efficient process that offers a wide range of components and shapes. Parts that have been made through die casting have long service life. Moreover, it provides high-speed production and requires less or no machining at all. Furthermore, you can make thousands of similar castings before you use additional tools.
Aluminum die casting company generates parts that are dimensionally stable and strong, while maintaining close tolerances. Also, parts that have been die casted are stronger compared to plastic injection moldings.
Kinetic Die Casting manufactures aluminum and zinc die casting parts. Samples of KDC’s work include die cast speaker parts, aluminum tile plates, and other die cast metal parts. If you would like to have a quote please visit our website: Kinetic Die Casting Company

Winter Solstice 2020
The shortest day of the year and the first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere (USA) is 21 December, the “Winter Solstice”. The word solstice comes from the Latin words for “sun” and “to stand still.” The sun seems to stand still on the day of the winter solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, as summer advances to winter, the points on the horizon where the Sun rises and sets advance southward each day; the high point in the Sun’s daily path across the sky, which occurs at local noon, also moves southward each day.
At the winter solstice, the Sun’s path has reached its southernmost position. The next day, the path will advance northward. However, a few days before and after the winter solstice, the change is so slight that the Sun’s path seems to stay the same, or stand still.

What are Auto Parts in 2020?
The most abundant metals found on earth is aluminum. Aluminum die casting is strong, flexible, lightweight, recyclable, malleable, and corrosion-resistant. These properties are factors that make the aluminum a great choice for material in producing cars and aluminum die casting car parts.
Die Casting, rolling, extrusion, or forging can be used to manufacturing with aluminum. When rolled under extreme pressure, the aluminum becomes thinner and longer. It becomes any of the three widely used forms: plate, sheet, and foil.
In North America, transportation is representative of the largest market for aluminum manufacturing. Where manufacturing of cars and trucks are concerned, the aluminum is the second most widely used component. Top reason for this is because producers are keen in improving the gas mileages of their vehicles. Since aluminum is about one-third the weight of steel, the entire vehicle mass can be reduced significantly. Aluminum Auto Parts Manufacturing will Gain Momentum.
As car manufacturing continue to conduct research about aluminum die casting and how best they can use this metal to manufacture excellent quality vehicles, more companies will start turning to aluminum as an alternative material to steel and iron.
These days, aluminum auto parts made of aluminum die castings include: valve covers, aluminum alloy wheels, carburetors, as well as body and closure panels, or flooring. Aluminum die casting manufacturing is still used at a very low volume. Mass manufacturing production will only be feasible once research finds out how aluminum die casting can really become more useful than steel or as strong as steel.
Concerns for reliability and safety are the major factors that inhibit the full blast manufacturing of major car parts. As car makers gain more confidence in the methods and techniques to manufacture high-quality aluminum die casting auto parts, the public is yet to drive the more economical cars made out of aluminum die casting.

Veterans Day 2020
Today is Veterans Day. This day is an official United States public holiday, that is observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans; that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I; major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. The United States previously observed Armistice Day. The U.S. holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who died while in military service. It is also not to be confused with Armed Forces Day, a minor U.S. remembrance that also occurs in May, which specifically honors those currently serving in the U.S. military.

Die Casting Tooling: 4 Types of Dies 2020
Die Casting Tooling: 4 Types of Dies. Dies, or more appropriately termed as die cast tooling, are one of the most essential parts when it comes to die casting. Naturally, you cannot make a certain alloy component without creating the perfect mold – which is why dies are also often called die casting molds. The actual creation of dies begins with the blueprint of the piece or pieces that is to be developed. This is not as easy as it sounds. Very stringent measures are undertaken to make sure that the dies fit every configuration of the overall design. Often the blueprints, the die casting tooling and the corresponding pieces that come from the first two have to be worked over until the perfect pieces are achieved. Only then can mass production of the said pieces can continue.
As such there are 4 known existing types, and these are: single cavity die, multiple cavity die, unit die and the combo die or the combination die.
Single cavity die casting mold, as the name implies, refers to mold that is often used in the creation of a single component. Usually, the very large pieces of metal works are created from single cavity die to ensure that the pieces are “flawless.” On the other hand, multiple cavity die refers to molds that have smaller components but are identical in design. This type of die is more economical when it comes to mass production of smaller pieces.
Unit dies are best for the creation of different pieces that would be fitted to create one larger piece, or unit. This is best for the medium to small pieces as well. Lastly, there is the combo die. The combo die can be a mix of two of the aforementioned dies above or all three. This is great for assembly line production.
