Jackson Die Casting LLC plans to expand its Madison County manufacturing facility, adding nearly five dozen jobs, the company and state officials announced today.

The high-pressure aluminum die casting company said its $4.5 million expansion in Jackson, Tenn. should result in the creation of 58 jobs over a three-year period.

“We’re fortunate to have booked significant new business from current and new customers, requiring us to invest significantly in equipment capacity and increase our employment,” said Bob Tamburrino, president of parent company Key 3 Casting LLC.

Key 3 Casting, based in Dallas, produces metal castings for industrial, aerospace, public infrastructure and automotive applications at the Jackson plant.

Aluminum Heat Sinks and What They Do

Aluminum heat sinks expels heat from parts and components in electronic applications. Aluminum die cast heatsinks are designed in a way that needs less machining than other manufacturing processes. The cooling fins can be manufactured at the same time as the mounting holes. Heatsink parts are made with all features necessary for cooling electronic components and to mount the heat sinks on the printed circuit board (PC board). Aluminum heat sinks have a high dimensional stability. Heat sink production begins as soon as the die casting tooling is produced. Aluminum heat sinks are produced at the rate of 250 heat sink parts per day to 2,500 heat sink parts per day. Heatsinks look good as raw parts or can be anodized or powdercoated.

Examples of Die Casting Handle Parts

Examples of Die Casting Handle Parts. Die casting is a process wherein molten metal or metal compound is pressure-cast into a cavity to form various metal parts. Materials used in die casting are mainly alloys of the following metals: zinc, tin, copper, pewter, aluminum, lead, and magnesium. Die casting is very popular in the production of small metal parts or small machines. Plastic parts are also making their way into the parts market but many still prefer metal parts as it is more durable and produces less carbon footprint. The following are some of the examples of die casting handle parts and their applications.

Examples of Die Casting Handle Parts:

  • One of the most popular handle parts that are produced through die casting are the faucet handles and faucet knobs. Zinc and aluminum alloys are commonly used for production of these parts as these metals are rust-proof.
  • Other die cast handle parts also includes handrails and glass door handles that are commonly found in buildings and malls.
  • Expensive door knobs are also made via die casting because die cast materials are very tough, durable and versatile.
  • Die cast metal parts have a certain charm that you just can’t find in plastic molded parts. The above mentioned examples of die casting handle parts prove that metals are still the number one choice if you want a more modern and elegant look in any architecture. It may be on the expensive side but, quality- and aesthetically-wise, die cast materials present a great deal.

Examples of Die Casting Aluminum Parts

Examples of Die Casting Aluminum Parts. Aluminum is a very common light weight metal that is found in almost all of the things we use every day. At home, in different modes of transportation, in small and big things, there is aluminum. As it has many combinations and useful properties, aluminum is a great candidate for die casting.

Die casting is a process wherein you make metallic parts by pressuring molten metal into a mold. There are many examples of die casting aluminum parts that are commonly used in our daily lives. It can be as mundane as a door handle or as complicated as an automotive part. Here is a list of examples of die casting aluminum parts that you may not know:

There are aluminum parts made by die casting that is found in aircrafts. Some of these aircrafts include the B-52H BUFF and the F-117A Nighthawk Attack Fighter.

Door handles and faucet handles are mostly composed of die casted aluminum parts. Many prefer aluminum for architecture aesthetics because of its good finish and good weight to strength ratio.

Golf clubs are also made by casting aluminum for a lighter but still sturdy club.
    – Aluminum parts are also popular in the house lighting industry because of the metal’s conductivity of electricity and light weight.

Nowadays, aluminum roof tile molds are also being considered by many roofing tile construction firms for house construction.

The die casting industry is prominent all over the world, as there are many applications for the parts that they produce (as seen in some of the examples of die casting aluminum parts mentioned above).
