Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures

Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures. In any house, building and other man made structure that is covered or in the dark, it will need artificial lighting so that it becomes hospitable and safe. Both outdoor and indoor lighting is essential in any place where people reside because people rely on light to get things done. For those which don’t receive any natural lighting, Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are the solution to this problem. Most, if not all housing and buildings make use of this feature and aluminum is a great choice for this because it is light in weight so that it can easily be installed or replaced and at the same time, it is durable so it will last longer.

Of course, Aluminum Lighting Fixtures should be made in vast quantities at a time because structures, especially buildings, would require a lot of these artificial lighting equipments. To achieve this, the best method in creating lighting fixtures is with die casting. This process can turn the aluminum into the finished product in no time as the metal is melted and using molds and castings, can be structured into the proper shapes and sizes.

When it comes to Aluminum Lighting Fixtures, die casting is the cheapest, most reliable way to achieve high quality results. And since this method makes use of the same mold, the resulting products are always consistent when it comes to the dimensions and the quality. Fast and efficient, die casting has become very popular not only with making Aluminum Lighting Fixtures, but with other parts as well.

China leads way for solar energy

China leads way for solar energy

Andrew S. Ross – San Francisco Chronicle
September 29, 2009

Next month, Santa Clara’s Applied Materials Inc. is scheduled to open a giant solar energy R&D center. The company is investing up to $300 million in the facility. It will not be situated in California, nor in the United States, but in Xian, China. Because China’s where t he action is.
“If the U.S. doesn’t get serious, China’s going to own this industry,” said Applied Materials spokesman David Miller. He points to the Manhattan Project-like push for alternative energy adopted by Chinese officials, which includes up to $60 billion annually in government investment. And here? “Here, we’re way behind,” said Miller. “We’re still messing around with energy bills. We need to get serious, to get capital spending flowing, to get the government truly behind it, to get focused.”

Miller and his company are not simply blowing smoke. In as little as two years, analysts predict, China will be the world’s biggest consumer of solar energy. By 2013, its clean tech market could amount to $1 trillion annually, according to a report earlier this month from the China Greentech Initiative, a consortium of U.S. and Chinese companies that includes Cisco Systems and the Silicon Valley VC firm VantagePoint Venture Partners, which specializes in clean tech investments
Neither is Applied Materials alone in its views. I’ve heard them similarly expressed by numerous Bay Area executives and investors with b usiness ties to China. “They get that these are the industries of the 21st century,” says VantagePoint managing partner Alan Salzman, whose Bay Area clean tech investments include Tesla Motors, BrightSource Energy and Solazyme. “The level of support for green tech there is breathtaking. It exceeds anything done here on a state or federal level.”
As if any more wake-up calls were needed, two other VantagePoint Venture Partners’ portfolio companies, Santa Clara’s Miasolé, which produces advanced, thin-film solar panels, and Sunnyvale’s Bridgelux, developer of energy-efficient LED lighting, are reluctantly considering locating their manufacturing facilities outside the United States.

“From a global competitiveness perspective, we’re just not there,” said Salzman.

Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures for Better Quality

Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures for Better Quality. The die casting manufacturing process is quite similar to permanent mold casting. Both processes start out by melting or liquefying the material such as resin, rubber, zinc, copper and aluminum to name a few, that is going to be used. The melted materials will then be injected into mold castings. The liquid will then take the form of the patterns in the mold castings. The molds will then be allowed to cool down to harden and once they are opened, the product is finished. The difference between die casting and permanent mold casting is that the former uses high amounts of pressure in the molds so that the material will get into every part of the pattern. This results in better quality of the products which is why die casting is chosen to make Aluminum Lighting Fixtures.

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures help in illuminating man made structures such as houses, buildings, tunnels as well as the streets at night. They are an essential part of these structures and a lot of them are needed. By using the die casting process, the bulk orders for these Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are met. Not only that, quality and consistency is insured by die casting. This is a cost efficient and effective way of producing Aluminum Lighting Fixtures.

Aluminum is a great choice for lighting fixtures as they are strong and can last a very long time. They are also very lightweight compared to other metals. Since they can be harvested almost anywhere, they are very cheap too.

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures Efficient Manufacturing

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures – Efficient Manufacturing. Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are used in buildings, homes, tunnels and other man made structures that would eventually need artificial lighting because the sun’s rays doesn’t reach them. It is an integral part of any man made building because people rely mainly on their eyes to navigate and accomplish tasks, without lighting they wouldn’t be able to work or get to where they need to. Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are also used in outdoor lighting as well. This means that they will be exposed to sun, rain and other elements which can damage them. They use aluminum so that it can last longer.

Aluminum is one of the most durable and strongest materials that are used today. It is more durable, if not just as durable as steel, but at the same time it is cheaper as well. This metal can be mined all over the world which makes it very accessible. Also, aluminum is just a third in weight compared to steel which makes it easier to work with. In turning the metal into the finished product, nothing is better than using die casting.

Die casting is a manufacturing process which is similar to permanent mold casting. The first step is the same wherein the material used is melted into liquid form. The difference is that in die casting, the liquid is injected into high pressure molds. They will then be allowed to cool and solidify and the result is that die casted Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are better accuracy in dimensions, smoother surface and much more uniform compared to permanent mold casting.

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures All You Need to Know

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures – All You Need to Know. Prior to the invention of aluminum die casting, most lighting fixtures have been exposed to welding techniques so as to produce the essential parts to this type of electrical component. Not only does this system provide an expensive and prolonged process of making just a few outputs, welding also require a lot of hands to work, necessitating a huge amount of labor. With this limitation in the widespread need for lighting fixtures to be made in different dimensions and specific designs, the science of die casting has also incorporated the production of aluminum lighting fixtures.

Aluminum lighting fixtures, as with all other products of aluminum die casting, are made with net shape. In the process of making aluminum lighting fixtures, die caster do not need to perform heavy welding, and can simply mold dies to produce the best lighting fixture in accordance to the requests of their clients. One of the best things about lighting fixtures made from aluminum is that it upholds thermal properties, thereby making it easier for a lot of household equipments and electronic gadgets to diffuse heat. Shipping costs wouldn’t also be a problem for most die casting clients as the material used is guaranteed to be lightweight. Most of the lighting fixtures before used to be made with plastic, however are found not to last long when compared to the longevity of those made from aluminum. The electrically conductive components of these fixtures also compliment the main functions of the outputs made from aluminum die casting.
