Who uses die casting parts? It may come as a surprise to the average lay person, but the market for die casting parts is big enough that it is able to sustain the industry as well as the people who …

Making Aluminum Lighting Fixtures Fast
Making Aluminum Lighting Fixtures Fast. Die casting is known as a cheap process of turning metal into the needed product of the manufacturer. In other words, it turns the raw material into a part which the manufacturer needs in order to complete its product. The metal commonly used with this process is aluminum, however other metal alloys such as zinc and copper can also be used. This is the preferred process of house builders when it comes to making Aluminum Lighting Fixtures.
Lighting fixtures are integral in houses, buildings and other man made structures. Its purpose is to illuminate or provide artificial lighting inside these structures when natural lighting cannot do so. At the same time, lighting fixtures can also be used outdoors. In making these products, aluminum is a common material used because it is very strong and sturdy. At the same time, it is light and cheap. Most Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are used in street traffic casings, outdoor coach lights, parking garage lighting and medical offices which use hanging lights among others. Die casting is the preferred process because it is fast and cheap as well.
The first step in die casting is to liquefy the aluminum. This is accomplished by heating it and once it turns into liquid, it can be placed inside molds known as castings. These castings will then shape the liquid into the needed part. The mold is then cooled down slowly. Once the molds cool and are opened, the Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are done. High quality lighting fixtures are made through this process.

The Best Lighting Fixtures – Aluminum Lighting
The Best Lighting Fixtures – Aluminum Lighting. Your office or your home will never be as beautiful as it is today without lighting fixtures. The purpose of lighting fixtures is to provide synthetic glow or lighting inside homes or business establishments. There are two classifications of lighting fixtures; the internal and external lighting fixtures. Various types of lighting fixtures can be used in aerospace lights, marine lights and emergency lights.
Aluminum Lighting Fixtures have been present for a very long time now, and they can be manufactured without being drilled or being soldered. As a result, creating lighting fixtures that vary in forms and sizes can be easy. In addition, Aluminum Lighting Fixtures possess a great thermal characteristic. Because of the fact that aluminum is lightweight, the cost of transporting lighting fixtures will not be expensive.
If Die Casting was never invented, the making of lighting fixtures would be hard, costly and exhaustive, and the production of modern and ingenious Aluminum Lighting Fixtures in various forms would be limited. From the time when Die Casting existed, production of lighting fixtures improved.
Another known benefit of Aluminum Lighting Fixtures aside from being good conductors of electricity, is that they are very durable unlike lighting fixtures that are made in plastic. Aluminum Lighting Fixtures can be dry-coated if you want to give them a more attractive appearance.
Die Casting Aluminum Lighting Fixtures are commonly used on wall scones fixtures, outdoor coach lights, warm temperature light casings, walk light casings, stoplight casings, bullet light fixture, parking garage lighting fixture casings and dangling light fixtures in medical workplaces.

Aluminum Lighting Fixtures to Lighten up Your Home
Aluminum Lighting Fixtures to Lighten up Your Home. Lighting fixtures are primarily for creating artificial illumination. A lighting fixture consists of the light source, an opening that could either have lenses or none, a light reflector that controls the light and directs it towards a certain point, an electrical counterweight, a light housing for protective purposes, and a cable connecting to the power source. Lighting fixtures can be classified as either outdoor or indoor lighting fixtures.
Prior to the introduction of die casting, parts used in lighting purposes were made by welding parts together. This process was impractical; it was slow, expensive, and labor extensive. Today however, lighting fixtures are produced through die casting, a process which involves the pressurizing of molten metals into mold cavities, which is followed by a cooling process. Die casting is extremely advantageous if your objective is to manufacture substantial amounts of small to medium-sized lighting parts with excellent details and features.
Aluminum, a strong, lightweight metal, is the widely-used metal for die cast lighting parts because of its sturdiness, electrical conductivity and good thermal properties. The production of aluminum die castings is also better than with other metals because the former could be produced in net shape, doing away with welding.
Die cast aluminum lighting fixtures are used extensively in the lighting components found in parking garages and medical offices. These are also incorporated in street traffic lights, outdoor lights, wall lighting fixtures and bullet lighting fixtures. Aluminum lighting fixtures are also used for aerospace lighting, medical lighting, automobile lighting and marine lighting.

Lighting Endcaps
In September 2008, we looked a Lighting Endcaps for the entertainment industry. Lighting endcaps are typically used to enclose the end of a light fixture. In this case our customer needed sets of a left endcap and a right endcap. This project required only 500 sets of parts each year. The engineer was unsure if Aluminum Die Casting was the answer to her dilemma. Many people were telling her that the minimum run for die castings was 1000’s not 100’s each year.
We looked at her project and told her, it fit in our niche of:
She placed the order with us in October 2008 for two cavity mold, die casting tooling, and for 200 sets of parts. She was in a hurry so she then asked if we would provide a few sets of parts she needed for an up-coming design show using SLA. Instead we gave her sample units in less than the 12 weeks we promised. She used our samples at the show. This saved her $2,000 in custom metal parts prototype part costs.
Kinetic Die Casting does this all the time for new customers. We accept orders and deliver the aluminum parts early. We specialize in delivering faster and better quality than many customers are getting from our competitors from here locally or from far away lands.

Lighting Heat Sink
Aluminum lighting parts, active heat sinks have a lot of advantages. Most manufacturers prefer to use them in their products because they benefit a lot in terms of:
• Not needing to add costs for plating. With copper, there is cost needed for this.
• Electronic parts or components are protected since aluminum can conduct electricity, it can be used as the natural ground.
• Protection from RF/EMI that can interfere with the electronic lighting components inside
Active Heat Sinks can be made of aluminum or copper. These are objects that can draw heat away from another object to protect it from damage. These are usually placed on top of the source so that it can be used to dissipate the heat away. The process is called thermal contact. The Advantages of Aluminum Heat Sinks
The typical lighting active heat sink has long fins and thin protrusions that are used to conduct the heat from the source to the cooler environment that is circulating inside the heat sink. Most of those that can be bought in the market today are already equipped with their own fans or blowers that can help dissipate heat more effectively. This kind of heat sink is called active heat sink or impingement heat sink and usually costs $25 up.
High-end aluminum lighting active heat sinks can provide excellent jobs. If you are considering buying one with a fan, make sure you are getting one with quiet performance since a fan can really make some noise.
Aluminum active heat sinks are also used in refrigeration, airplane lighting parts, circuit boards, mobile phones, satellite parts, automotive lighting, lighting parts, laser lighting components, and more.
