Aluminum Die Casting Heat Sinks
Aluminum is a strong and durable material, which is why this is an ideal metal to use in heat sinks. This metal is found in the earth and is extracted from ore. Some say that it is more valuable than gold even though it is very abundant since this metal can be used in a variety of ways due to its unique characteristics of being strong, durable yet light in weight. It is used as a part of many appliances people commonly use as well as electronics. Aluminum Heat Sinks are just one of the products made with this metal.

Aluminum Heat sinks have one purpose, and that is to take away the heat from more sensitive parts in the appliance or electronic product it is in. Since electricity produces heat, it can damage the product. By placing a Die Casting Aluminum Heat Sink, the heat is diverted from the wires, boards and other more important parts of the product so that it can continue to function. Since aluminum is a very durable material, it is ideal for this job.
Now, Aluminum Heat sinks are made by using the die casting process, a process which involves melting the aluminum first. The liquid metal will then be injected into molds, these molds will give the metal its new shape. Once the molds are cooled, it can now be opened and that’s it, a new heatsink has been finished. Since heat sinks are used by a lot of manufacturers, they are needed in large quantities. Die casting is the best way to provide large numbers of Aluminum Heat Sinks since it is a fast, cheap and reliable method.

L.A. County Unemployment Higher
Monday, March 12,2018 L.A. County Unemployment Edges Higher. L.A. County’s unemployment rate edged back up to 4.5 percent in January from 4.4 percent in December as local employers shed holiday season workers, state figures released March 7 show.
The January unemployment rate returned to the level of last November as roughly 17,000 people joined the ranks of the unemployed, bringing the total to 231,000. The labor force also grew by 20,000 to about 5.15 million.
For the first time in nearly a year, the local unemployment rate was a notch higher than the statewide average of 4.4 percent; it was also higher than the national rate of 4.1 percent.
Contributing to the rise in the unemployment rate was a substantial, but seasonal, drop in nonfarm payroll employment. According to the state Employment Development Department figures, employers cut 77,000 workers from their payrolls in January for a new total of 4.44 million.
Leading the way was a drop of 15,000 workers in the retail sector as the holiday season ended. Among the other sectors reporting job losses: Motion picture/sound recording (down 11,500) and administrative/support services (down 10,000).
Only one sector – construction – eked out a slight gain of 400 jobs between December and January. – By Howard Fine

Presidents Day 2018
The third Monday in February is Presidents’ Day. Washington’s Birthday was a United States federal holiday.
This holiday, celebrated on the third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, our first President of the United States. Now, this day is known as Presidents Day, and is often an occasion to remember all the U.S. presidents, not just George Washington’s actual birthday, February 22 or Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is February 12th. The term “Presidents’ Day” used to change the holiday into a day honoring multiple American presidents.
Recently, the February holiday is a day in which many retail stores, especially furniture stores and car dealerships, hold discount sales. Until the late 1980s, banks and corporate businesses closed on this day, similar to present corporate and bank practices on Memorial Day or Christmas Day. With the late 1980s advertising push to rename the holiday, more retail businesses are staying open during the holiday each year, and, as on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Veterans Day and Columbus Day. Many colleges and universities hold regular classes and operations on Presidents’ Day. Most U.S. Postal Service delivery services offer regular service on the day.

Groundhog Day 2018 This Week
Today is Monday the first working day of the week. Friday this week is February 2nd, and is celebrated as a fun way to predict weather. This day is celebrated each year on February 2nd. Groundhog Day was a traditional day used to forecast the remaining winter weather.
Happy Groundhog Day 2018
According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early; if it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will persist for six more weeks. This fun tradition does not accurately predict the weather, but fun, all the same.
Our customers, all of them manufacturers, are on the leading edge of any change in our American economy. Most of our customers are preparing for growth rather than recession in 2018.
